Flamed Telecaster & Surf Monster Telecaster Decals

I received my vinyl telecaster headstock decals today from Andy at City Signs & Print in Port Lincoln SA. As usual they look freakin awesome! If you need any vinyl decals made, give Andy a call or email him on citysigns@internode.on.net. You wont be disappointed!

I bunged them on both my current telecaster builds and was able to get a top coat of Wudtone natural neck finish on over the top. Only 2-3 more top coats to go and both necks will be ready for fret levelling. Two telecaster builds in parallel? Priceless..!

Les Paul Jnr Double Cut: Adeline Skulls!

Well, I couldn't wait any longer. After receiving my 'Adeline Skull' decals from Andy at City Signs and Print in Port Lincoln SA, I've been itching to see what they look like on my custom tortoiseshell pickguard and truss-rod cover. Well, here they are. They look freakin awesome and I couldn't be happier with them. This isn't a tribute build per-se, but a little salute to Green Day's Billie Joe was always on the cards with an LP Jnr.

Cool huh? Can't wait to see everything assembled and hear this baby scream.

Siena's Stratocaster - Custom Headstock Decal

I received my custom vinyl decal from best-decals.com today. I got the font size pretty close to what I wanted, although in truth I could have been a little larger. It went on without a hitch and looks pretty damn good. I put a coat of Wudtone clear over the whole lot - it seemed to go over the decal without a problem. The clear coat should keep the decal in place till the end of days. A couple more clear coats and the neck will be finished.

BC Rich Avenge - The Custom Decal

Still getting the layers of poly onto the BC Rich rockabilly death metal thrashmeister. The poly is taking roughtly 24 hours for each coat to dry, so it's a long plodding process with few results to report. In the meantime, Eben could not wait to put his custom decal on the headstock. So, executive decision made, we went ahead and applied the sucker!

The result is not quite centered - it's a tiny bit off to the right - but it still looks awesome. Eb is very happy with the result. A couple more coats of poly over the top and the headstock will be ready for a rough wet-sand and polish. This bad boy is going to look awesome when it's finally assembled!
